Friends But Not Lovers

This one’s a long and complicated one, so hold on tight.
I have a female friend (who I will call M for her privacy and
mine). We met through mutual friends, and been a friend
of mine for about four years now. She first started expressing
feelings towards me (sexual as well as emotional) when
I was with my girlfriend (at the time). I didn’t responded
to her feelings, but not how she wanted me to (she wanted
me to dump my girlfriend to be with her, and I didn’t
want to do that). That was last year.
